Here at Statewide, we're always looking for new talent to join our team. We have a variety of positions available, such as Data Entry, Cash Handling, Bid Spotter, Penciler, Site Floater, Bid Sheet Runner, Sale Setup and Security. Work is on Saturdays and Sundays only, with the exception of Sale Site Setup Crew, which involves weekday work. Work is in various locations around regional Victoria, and occasionally in Melbourne.
These positions involve travel, overnight stasys and working in all weather conditions, such as 36 degree heat, constant rain and in confined areas. Accommodation and evening meals are paid for, and a fuel allowance is also paid.

Position Descriptions are as follows:
DATA ENTRY - Entering Basic data in an MS Access database, generating and checking Buyer Invoices, taking buyer registrations, Some Casdh Handling, processing EFTPOS payments and cash reconciliation. These are the main duties, but you may be required to perform other duties as well, such as closing down the onsite mobile office. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required. You will bee required to think on your feet and problem solve. Your work area will be inside an air conditioned mobile office, with fridge, microwave oven, tea and coffee making facilities.
PROCESSING PAYMENTS - Receiving and processing cash payments, processing EFTPOS payments, taking buyer registrations and other possible duties as required. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required. Your work area will be inside an air conditioned mobile office, with fridge, microwave oven, tea and coffee making facilities.
BID SPOTTER - Spotting Bids in a crowded, noisy environment and announcing bids with a "YES" in a loud audible voice. Will need to keep your eye on multiple bidders at the same time. Will need an outgoing, friendly personality and will be working in all weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, constant rain or in a confined, crowded environment. Will involve standing for long periods of time.

PENCILER - Announcing lot numbers and lot descriptions in a loud, audible voice, spotting bids, handwriting numbers and figures onto a paper bidding sheet.. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy is required and need to be able to think on your feet and problem solve. Will need an outgoing, friendly personality and will be working in all weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, constant rain or in a confined, crowded environmemt. Will involve standing for long periods of time.
BID SHEET RUNNER - This role involves taking completed Bid Sheets from various locations around the sale sight back to the Clerking Van for processing, providing water to the Auctioneer, Bid Spotters and Penciler as needed. Will need an outgoing, friendly personality and will be working in all weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, constant rain or in a confined, crowded environment. Will involve standing for long periods of time.
SECURITY - In thiss role, you will be working at the entry/exit point of the Clearing Sale location, directing attendees where to park if required and checking Buyer Invoices off people leaving to ensure payment has been made. Will need an outgoing, friendly personality and will be working in all weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, constant rain. Will involve standingor sitting for long periods of time.
SITE FLOATER - This position has varied tasks and involves releaving Staff Members as needed during thier meal or toilet breaks, running messages and errands for staff members such as fetching hot food, tea and coffee for other staff members. You will need an outgoing, friendly personality and will be working in all weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, constant rain or in a confined, crowded environment. Will also involve standing for long periods of time.
SALE SITE SETUP - This role involves sorting through and arranging items and machinery for auction at various locations around rural Victoria. Loading unwanted rubbish and unsellable items into skip bins. You will be working away from home for up to 5 days and involves heavy lifting and working indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. Accommodation and evening meals paid for and fuel allowance will also be paid, in addition to travel money.
